The Early Interventions in Psychosis (EIP) team are looking to recruit a compassionate and highly skilled colleague to join the EIP management team. Working directly with the Team leader and members of the wider EIP workforce, the EIP clinical team leader would be responsible for supporting the management of the EIP South team which covers Gedling, city east, city South, Broxtowe &Hucknall and Rushcliffe localities. The clinical team leader would work alongside the team leader and wider EIP management team including the North management team and Service manager, to develop the service as part of the ambitions in the NHS long term plan.
Main duties of the job
To provide continuing support to the team leader in the clinical management, leadership and development responsibilities ensuring the effective delivery of clinical/evidence-based practice by the team to a diverse group of patients, their families and carers, in accordance with quality practice and procedures. Ensuring all performance management and clinical governance arrangements are in place.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Professional clinical qualification plus further specialist knowledge/post registration experience to diploma / degree level or equivalent knowledge and skills in mental health underpinned by theory or other formal training
- Maintain current registration with the NMC / HPCP or other governing body and adheres to the code of professional practice
- Demonstrates continuing Professional development within their specialism
- Management and Leadership qualification and experience
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in a variety of formats
Desirable criteria
- Trained in psychosocial interventions
Training
Essential criteria
- Willingness to undertake new clinical practices, education and training that will enhance service delivery
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrate satisfactory clinical expertise for the banding
Desirable criteria
- The ability to deal with and resolve conflict
- Experience of working with service users with a diagnosis of psychosis or EIP team
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Advanced knowledge of the Care Programme Approach, Mental Health Act Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty and Safeguarding etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of current legislation and understanding of clinical risk assessments
- Knowledge of the nursing 6 c’s or equivalent competencies for own specialism
- Knowledge of the principals of medication management and concordance
- Knowledge of education of others and identification of training requirements
Desirable criteria
- Awareness of national and local issues impacting of nursing care
- Awareness of national and local issues impacting EIP
- Knowledge of management theories
Skills
