Community CAMHS are looking for a CBT therapist to join our dynamic and evolving service.
The Community CAMHS Service supports Children, Young People and their families/carers with their emotional and mental health needs on a continuum of mild to severe.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of evidence based cognitive behavioural psychotherapy across Community CAMHS South

To work collaboratively as part of a Community CAMHS teams providing specialist CBT assessment, formulation, interventions with young people and families, care-coordination, group work, liaison with systems connected to the young person and the multidisciplinary team within the Community CAMHS.

The Community CAMHS CBT Therapist will work as a member of the Community CAMHS Team and contribute to the multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for an agreed caseload and will contribute to all aspects of team functioning as required.
You will work with a variety of agencies including adult service providers to ensure a quality service is provided, You must be a Registered Nurse, Dip SW or equivalent social work qualification (CSS, CQSW, degree in social work), Allied Health Professional registered with the HCPC and accredited by a HCPC recognised body e.g. UKCP/BACP.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

- Appropriate professional registered qualification e.g. RMN, Social Worker or equivalent qualification and membership of a registered statutory body e.g. NMC.
- MSc qualification in CBT or recognised equivalent as accredited by BABCP

- CBT training via CYPIAPT programme.
Training

- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- To have undertaken statutory child safeguarding training.

Experience

- Experience of working with people with Mental Health Disorders
- Experience of working with young people with mental health difficulties
- Experience of providing clinical supervision

- Experience of working within a Multi-disciplinary Team

Knowledge

- Knowledge of NICE guidelines for mental health difficulties
- Understanding of working with young people who have a Mental Health Disorders
- Understanding of working within CAMHS Community Teams and the CAPA model
- Knowledge and experience of the provision of mental health assessment for young people

- Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health, key policy drivers such as Future in Minds.
- Awareness of local mental health services
- Knowledge of working within a Care Bundle framework.
