Main duties of the job
Are you self-motivated, enthusiastic and looking for a new challenge? Would you like the opportunity to develop your nursing career in the integrated community setting? We are looking for compassionate, hardworking and motivated community nurse's to join our Bank to work various shifts in Integrated Community Adult Teams around Nottingham.
You will be providing care to patients within their own homes and care homes. You will liaise closely with local GPs and other members of the wider MDT as well as with patients and their families, therefore excellent communication skills are essential.
You must be a first level registered nurse. We are seeking individuals whom have relevant experience:
Injections (insulins, sub-cut and IM).
General Wound Care, applications of dressings and bandaging.
Routine catheterisation of male, female or suprapubic (any of these would be beneficial)
Catheter/Bladder maintenance solution administration
Palliative Care

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be delivering nursing care to housebound patients in their own home and care homes as required. You will attend to planned home visits as well as emergency district nurse visits.

Qualification
Essential criteria
- Professional Qualification (Mental Health/Learning Disabilities/General) to degree level or equivalent.
- Maintains current registration with the NMC
Desirable criteria
- Demonstrate continued professional development to maintain professional registration
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrates satisfactory clinical expertise for the banding.
Desirable criteria
- Specialist and area specific experience.
Driving licence
Essential criteria
- A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good written/oral communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and handle conflict issues
- Good skills in assessment intervention and evaluation of patients nursing care
