An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time  enthusiastic individual to join the Corporate Nursing Directorate and Infection Prevention and Control Teams.  This is a proactive team committed to promoting high standards of Infection Prevention and Control across the Trust.  The hours are 37.5 hours per week  - part-time hours may be considered.

 As an integral part of the team, you will assist in the delivery of specialist advice, education and support on all aspects of Infection Prevention and Control for healthcare professionals and patients. 

This job role will include maintenance of best practice in infection prevention via infection prevention audits, surveillance of healthcare associated infections, responding to outbreaks of infection and other communicable disease and delivery of training for infection prevention.  You must therefore be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to challenge and inform practice. 

You will also be required to travel between Trust sites therefore, a full UK driving license and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

To work with Infection Prevention and Control colleagues throughout Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to ensure strategic guidance, professional development and leadership on Infection Prevention and Control issues are consistently delivered throughout the Organisation.

To assist the Team Leader to develop, plan and implement a comprehensive Infection Prevention and Control Service, providing support advice and training to all Trust staff.

  • Recognised Infection Control Qualification (ENB329/diploma/ degree)
  • Teaching & Assessing qualification (ENB 998 or equivalent)

Training

  • Maintains Current NMC registration/ other healthcare professional registration
