Facilities Assistant - Porter

Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for motivated individuals to join our busy Facilities Team at Rampton Hospital working as a Facilities Assistant primarily in our Portering Department but on occasions within other areas of Facilities in particular our Transport Department. 

Previous experience of working as a Porter in a Hospital environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. 

Main duties of the job

Working in our main stores, delivering and collecting items from around the hospital (linen, waste, goods, property etc), within the internal postal service, and help with office or ward relocations also working in our waste management centre

There may be occasions where there is a requirement to support the Transport Department in the transportation of staff, visitors and goods to various other destinations away from the Rampton Hospital site.

Core hours are between 8am – 5.30pm, working 7.5 hours, 5 days over 7 days (including working weekends and bank holidays).  Shift pattern will be discussed at interview.
