We are seeking to recruit a registered Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to join our fantastic multi-disciplinary CAMHS team within Clayfields House (Children’s Secure Home) to support the psychological provision and help support Psychological Assessment, Formulation, Therapeutic Intervention and Evaluation of the young people.

The role is varied and offers major opportunities to develop your skills and experience with the support of an experienced department and wider service.  Your Continued Professional Development is supported.

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly motivated psychologist to join our teams, in a challenging but rewarding role, to make a difference to the lives of our young people.

Therefore applicants will need to:

Have excellent interpersonal skills

The ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Be committed to providing the highest standards of care through excellent communication, motivation, supervision and role modelling.

Report to the Operational Lead and Psychology Lead. The post holder will work with multidisciplinary teams that value psychological approaches. You will provide comprehensive psychological assessments, formulations and interventions. As part of the role, you will also contribute to the development and evaluation of specialist treatment programmes, tailored to the complex mental health and offending behaviour needs of this population. You will also use and develop your skills in the supervision of others undertaking psychological interventions. You will also have opportunities in research and evaluation, service improvement, consultation and training.

Candidates must be registered with the HCPC as a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist.

However, candidates who are close to qualification and eligibility to apply for HCPC registration are welcome to apply.
