Job overview
⭐Come and Join our Team of Outpatient Receptionists⭐
We have a part-time fixed term/secondment position available working 30 hours per week. Weekend work will be part of this role on a rota basis, to meet the needs of the service, this will be discussed in detail at interviews. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a keen eye for detail, dedicated to placing patient and customer care at the forefront of our service.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in computer skills and the ability to navigate our various computer systems competently.
- Solid customer care skills and prior experience, preferably in an office or reception setting.
- Flexibility in your approach to work, including a willingness to cover reception in any Outpatient area. You may also be asked to provide reception coverage at our Ashfield Community Hospital site.
- Availability to work any day of the week between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm to accommodate the needs of our clinics (rotas will be provided in advance).
- Directing patients to the correct clinic if they are in the wrong area.
- Managing outgoing patient appointments once they have been seen by their consultant.
- Ensuring prompt handling of all missing outcomes in accordance with the trust's policy.
- Regularly participating in mandatory training.

Person specification
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Computer literate, with experience of using a keyboard.
- Excellent communication skills.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of Careflow PAS and NHS in general
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- To be educated to O'level / GCSE equivalent or to have previous administration experience
Desirable criteria
- To possess GCSE A-C passes including Math and English equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
- Clerical experience
- Customer care experience.
Desirable criteria
- 18 week RTT knowledge and experience
Contractual Requirements
Essential criteria
- Regular attendance and willingness to work flexible hours as necessary including weekends
- Must be able to travel between sites if required
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods
