Are you a dedicated and compassionate nurse seeking a rewarding opportunity in Gynaecological Cancer care? We have an exciting position available for a Gynaecology Cancer Nurse at King's Mill Hospital, offering a 6 month fixed-term contract or secondment.

As a Gynaecology Cancer Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting our specialist nursing team in planning, implementing, and evaluating expert nursing care for patients with gynaecological cancer. Your responsibilities will include providing specialized advice and psychosocial support to both patients and their carers across various care settings within the Trust.

Key responsibilities of the role include:


- Collaborate with the Gynaecology Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist (GCNS), Gynaecology Consultants, and the multi-professional team.
- Ensure the continuity of an integrated, seamless, and holistic approach to Gynaecological Cancer care for service users.
- Actively contribute to the development and enhancement of patient care standards.

Qualifications

  • NMC Level 1 Registered Nurse
  • ENB 998 or FLIPS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Good IT/Keyboard Skills

  • Educated to degree level or working towards
  • Cancer Related Qualification

Training

Essential criteria
  • Willing to undertake Aspirant Cancer Nurse Specialist Programme
  • Willing to undertake training in clinical examination and use of vaginal speculum

Experience

  • Experience of Working in the NHS
  • Significant post registration experience
