Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated midwife interested in Education and Professional development, to join our friendly and passionate clinical education team.

We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic, and dedicated midwife to work within the education team to ensure the requirements of the core competency framework are met and support the development and facilitation of training for the wider maternity workforce.

They will also require appropriate clinical experience, skills, and knowledge to be able to provide clinical support during times of escalation and to support the wider workforce.

The successful candidate will be confident adapting to challenges, providing solutions to problems in a collaborative manner to support effective working practices. They will need to have excellent interpersonal skills along with good IT, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills and have a proven ability to provide teaching to staff at all levels.

The role is integral in the provision of a safe and positive learning environment for all staff within our Maternity service requiring a midwife who is confident in both working independently and collaborating with others in the provision of high-quality learning experiences.

  • Registered Midwife
  • Degree level study (or equivalent)
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Continuing professional development/ reflective profil

  • Masters level qualification
