Job overview
Sherwood Forest Hospitals are seeking a highly motivated and experienced midwife to lead our Antenatal clinic and Pregnancy Day Care Unit services at King's Mill and Newark Hospital.
This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative midwife with an interest in antenatal care and public health to lead and develop our current services, whilst ensuring that we continue to provide high quality care in line with our Trust values.
The role will involve working closely with the sonography service, obstetric and neonatal consultants and external stakeholders supporting the Public Health Agenda including the vaccination service within the outpatient environment.
The role will be varied, involving a combination of office-based work and clinical care. You will also be required to undertake teaching, develop and implement new care pathways following national recommendations, engage in failsafe procedures, write reports, and handle general day-to-day office duties.
The successful candidate will be able to motivate and engage others to ensure that the services we provide supports the Trust’s values, as well as having a pioneering approach that is not afraid to challenge convention and traditional ways of working to provide the best care possible for our families.
