Job overview
The Ophthalmology Department at Kings Mill Hospital is looking to recruit 1 full time PPC support working 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday.
This role consists of general admin duties, clinical typing, booking appointments, tracking in and out of case notes, to support the Patient Pathway Co-ordinators working in a fast paced, Ophthalmology department.
Main duties of the job
- Cancelling appointments if required
- Supporting PPC team
- Answering phones
- Tracking patient case notes.
- General/ admin duties including photocopying, and filing
- Supporting with Audio typing
- Prepping notes for clinics

Knowledge Requirements
Essential criteria
- Computer literate with excellent keyboard skills
Desirable criteria
- Medical terminology
- Working knowledge of CareFlow and the NHS in general
Qualifications-Academic/Craft/ Professional
Essential criteria
- Good general education including English GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent)
Desirable criteria
- European Computer Driving Licence NVQ Level II Admin or equivalent courses
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working within an office environment
Desirable criteria
- Customer Care
- NHS experience
Contractual Requirements
Essential criteria
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
- Good team member & using own initiative
- Diplomatic and tactful.
