Job overview

Do you want to be part of a new and exciting team, being involved in the creation of an asset management system across the Primary, Community, Dental Care Directorate? 

We are looking for several team members who are innovative and enthusiastic and looking for a challenge will an eye on success.  You will need to be a self starter and a great communicator and willing to input ideas and suggestions to help move this team forward.

Main duties of the job

The core function of this post is to ensure that the asset register (used for registering all assets and recording all amendments) is updated and managed in line with the Directorate requirements, and best professional practice.

To also work closely with the operational and clinical team at each site to agree a standardised register of assets at each site and relevant training in place.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The role responsibilities include the below but please do review the attached Job Description and Person Specification for a  full overview of the role responsibilities

•        To manage and work independently to maintain an electronic register of all assets on each ward.  When necessary, refer to the Operational Support Manager.

•        To ensure availability at all times of an accurate and complete asset register

•        To develop and undertake a timetable of activities, to ensure that the accuracy, integrity, and general performance of the asset register is maintained.

•        To be responsible for ensuring that all assets are linked with the relevant up-to-date procurement, service and repair information.

•        To provide data when required to influence future management and procurement of assets.

•        To validate and deal with any queries relating to data or information prior to any updates into the asset register.  

Person specification

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Ability to manage own workload under a range of competing deadlines from a number of sources
  • Working knowledge of asset registers and related systems, processes and procedures.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of asset management systems
  • Experience of busy working environment

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good understanding of Excel
  • Good standard of English and Maths
  • Looking to continue personal development towards operational management
