Are you looking for an exciting role in a developing service?

We are looking for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist who is registered with HCPC to join the Community Adult Eating Disorder team in Buckinghamshire. 

You will provide specialist psychological services to adults across all sectors of care, providing psychological assessment and therapy.  You will utilise research skills for adult, policy and service development and research within areas serviced by the team.

The post holder will be able to demonstrate the following:

-Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology including specifically models of psychopathology and psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS.

- Current registration with the HCPC as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist

- Well developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.

- Training opportunities in various therapy models available.

The primary focus for the post holder is to ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist clinical or counselling psychology service to clients with complex mental health problems including severe, enduring, and multiple disorders, and challenging behaviour.

Qualifications

  • Formal training in supervision of other psychologists

Experience

  • Experience of working as a qualified clinical or counselling psychologist within Adult Mental Health Service
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and in patient settings
  • Experience of supervision of junior and/or trainee psychologists.

  • Experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist within Adult Eating Disorder Service.
  • Experience of running groups.

Skills
