Job overview
We are currently looking for a Senior Carpenter to join our team. You will be responsible for the management of delivery of estates maintenance works across the estate.
As a key member of the estates team you will be responsible for completing reactive carpentry works, Planned Preventative Maintenance and small works across the Trust; with the responsibility of ensuring that works are completed to the highest standard and meeting all regulatory requirements for all work undertaken. You will be part of a multi-skilled, multi discipline team and will participate in a 24/7 on call rota. Your priorities will be to always look at the work you conduct through a Health and Safety lens.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- City and Guilds level 3 and NVQ level 2 in carpentry
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant relevant experience working within an estates maintenance team or as a site/self employed carpenter
- Experience of staff management and HR processes
- Experienced in the use of a wide range of Microsoft packages with keyboard skills
- Knowledge of risk management approaches
- Detailed knowledge of HTM/HBN requirements in relation to estate management
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment
Skills
Essential criteria
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and knowledge
- Proven ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
