We focus on delivering care as close to home as possible for people of all ages across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath and North East Somerset.

Job overview

Are you an experienced ACP registered child psychotherapist, who can help us shape our psychotherapy provision across Buckinghamshire?

As principal child psychotherapist, supported by the consultant child psychotherapist, you will lead on developing child psychotherapy in Buckinghamshire, as well as make a significant contribution to clinical thinking in the service.

You will be a highly skilled clinician who is as passionate about supporting and developing other clinicians, as about working with complex clients. You will provide supervision to qualified child psychotherapists and trainees across the county and offer clinical expertise to the wider team.

You will be based in our High Wycombe Getting More Help Team, which is a reflective and supportive multidisciplinary team where you will have a protected child psychotherapy caseload. Following service redesign, the Getting More Help Team is fully aligned to the iThrive model of children and families requiring extensive and specialised input. Our CAMHS clinic is a three minute walk from High Wycombe train station, close to London, and is part of the thriving Oxford Health Trust which has a large team of child psychotherapist who meet regularly to share our work and consider new learning. The Trust values staff well-being and is keen to provide regular training opportunities.
