Trosolwg o'r swydd

The Oxford Cancer Centre offers the perfect opportunity to work within a dynamic team dedicated to delivering holistic care for patients referred for radiotherapy.  You will be a key member of this team, based mainly at Milton Keynes University Hospital, but coming to Oxford Cancer Centre at the Churchill Hospital at least 1 day a week. The nature of the role means we are looking for a Therapeutic Radiographer with a broad range of clinical experience using advanced radiotherapy techniques who can work autonomously, prioritizing their time to ensure all aspects of the job role are met.

Oxford Cancer Centre will be opening a new radiotherapy satellite on the Milton Keynes Hospital site in autumn 2024. Roughly 60% of patients from Milton Keynes who require radiotherapy will be treated at the new satellite with the remainder coming to the Oxford Cancer Centre. Initially the satellite will have a CT Simulator and 1 Linac. A second bunker has been built to accommodate expansion of the service in the future.

The case mix will be determined on the acuity of care and additional support patients require and in some cases the type of treatment they need, for example SRS patients will travel to Oxford.

We have recently established a Radiographer led Late Effects Team. Most of these Radiographers have completed `M’ level Review training and are Independent Prescribers. Others have completed or are working towards `M’ level qualifications across all parts of the patient pathway.
