Job overview
We have a great opportunity to join our established facilities team.
You will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining non-patient areas and public areas according to company policy and procedures at a level that meets or exceeds National Cleanliness standards.
Main duties of the job
You will work in conjunction with mental health teams, to maintain a safe and clean environment and provide a comfortable atmosphere for the patients.
To work as part of the Facilities team to provide a comprehensive cleaning service across the Trust.
Other duties include:
• To carry out cleaning tasks as per rota.
• To handle and remove waste in line with segregation processes and procedures
• To ensure kitchen equipment, regeneration equipment and all surfaces are clean at all times

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The aim of this role is to ensure a clean safe environment for clients, of which in-house training can be provided.
Opportunities for extra hours may also be available so flexibility is required.

EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- Some knowledge of cleaning chemicals
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a health care setting
LITERACY
Essential criteria
- Good general education
- Basic cleaning skills Willing to undertake NVQ2 food hygiene
- General knowledge of COSHH
Desirable criteria
- NVQ 1 in cleaning
- NVQ2 food hygiene
