THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR  12 MONTHS

 

To work within a small team in the Patient Services and main reception area of Bro Ddyfi Community Hospital and Llanidloes Hospital.  You must be ICT literate and confident with processing data to a high standard and accuracy. Use of various databases such as Oracle, WPAS and IFOR Business Intelligence. 

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for financial control procedures in Machynlleth and Llanidloes Hospital including reimbursement and reconciliation of Petty Cash, receiving and banking donations, collecting monies accrued from the kitchen in cash and contactless card payment reconciliation ensuing that end of day procedures are adhered to. You will also provide procurement services for the hospital which involves sourcing supplier and obtaining costs for items for purchase. Additional role requirements are to support colleagues with general office tasks.  Base TBC at Llanidloes or Machynlleth.

  • Advanced Keyboard Skills equivalent to RSA 2/3
  • An excellent communicator at all levels within and outside an organisation including an ability to communicate effectively with patients and members of the public

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

  • NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification or relevant experience
  • Experience of using computerbased management information systems
  • Experience and an ability to prepare detailed reports
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office software

  • Experience of working in an environment where both tact and diplomacy has had to be used.
  • Knowledge of the structure and operation of the Health Board
