Job overview

The post holder will have a key professional role in leading projects relating to developing, managing, implementing and delivering multi-stranded Wellbeing Mindfulness and resilience development programmes for individuals and groups of the workforce.

Working collaboratively with the Workforce Future Experience and Wellbeing Manager and internal and external stakeholders, the post holder will be contributing to the Health Board’s Health and Wellbeing framework with the aim of improving overall Employee Experience and emotional health, performance, and effectiveness, contributing to the modernisation of the workforce and delivery of the Integrated Medium-Term Plan.

Act as key professional project lead for Wellbeing Mindfulness across all Workforce Futures partners, including paid and unpaid workforce.

Main duties of the job

Lead responsibility for designing, developing, delivering, evaluating, coordinating and maintaining Mindfulness and resilience programmes both for the Health Board and for the Workforce Future Partnership ensuring any interventions are fully aligned to the Health Board’s Health and Wellbeing framework and for the Wellbeing theme within Workforce Futures (WFF).

Design and deliver creative teaching and development sessions linked to specific projects for small, medium and large multi-disciplinary staff groups. This will require the ability to present highly complex and often conflicting information in an understandable way.

Working with the Workforce Future Wellbeing and Experience Manager, plan, organise, co-ordinate and manage a schedule of Employee Experience interventions, ensuring effective synchronicity of programmes with other Wellbeing, Occupational Health, and OD activity.

Provide Mindfulness coaching internally and externally. This requires specialist training and highly developed empathy and motivational skills with the ability to challenge others about their leadership beliefs and behaviours in a highly sensitive manner enabling them to build on strengths and recognise and address unhelpful coping strategies.

When required, act as the professional lead representation for Wellbeing Mindfulness on the Health Board’s Wellbeing at Work group and Workforce Future themes.
