Job overview

The Welsh Blood Service has an opportunity for an Associate Practitioner within the Manufacturing & Distribution Department.

The post holder will, in conjunction with Biomedical Science (BMS) staff have a supervisory role and be responsible for the organisation of work, supervision of support staff and participation in the routine work of the Manufacturing & Distribution laboratories. 

Main duties of the job

The role will be within the Manufacturing & Distribution Department where you will help produce blood components for transfusion as part of a large team.

Knowledge of how blood donations are processed to transfusable blood components would be a significant advantage for applicants.

Supervisory skills and good judgement are required for this very rewarding post.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
