Bishops Castle Community Hospital has a 16-bedded ward which offers a modern, light airy and well-equipped amenity, that supports patients for rehabilitation and essential end of life care in an Award-winning Kings Fund suite.  The site has ample free parking, and the hospital is passionately supported by the local community.

We are looking for experienced  Healthcare Assistants with evidence of with excellent communication and organisational skills.

The dedicated friendly staff offer a wealth of knowledge and experience and are devoted about ‘getting it right’ for the patients during their hospital journey. You will be working within a busy ward environment with the opportunity to further develop your skills and enhance your knowledge.  

We offer a flexible working pattern to help support you with your commitments outside of work.   We recognise that work life balance is important for our colleagues and so we invite requests from applications around less than full time/flexible working. 

Bishops Castle is a unique market town in Southwest Shropshire surrounded by an area of outstanding beauty, where you will be spoilt with spectacular views and local walks such as the Kerry Ridgeway and Offa’s Dyke path. This self-contained town has everything you would need. This quirky medieval historic place hosts annual community led festivals such as music, arts, carnival, and Michaelmas Fair.

A Healthcare Assistant is a core member of the team delivering personal care to patients and supporting registered practitioners to deliver high quality, compassionate care.

To provide holistic and person-centred care and support community patients in an acute setting.

To carry out a range of non-clinical healthcare tasks, under the direct supervision of the registered healthcare practitioner.  Provide compassionate care, to agreed quality standards and in accordance with Trust values.
