Job overview
We are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to work as part of our team in the Catering Department at Ludlow Community Hospital.
We are looking for reliable, motivated and flexible individuals with good communication and interpersonal skills suited to the special needs of a hospital environment along with a commitment to provide a high quality catering service and work as part of a team.

Main duties of the job
- Ensure a good standard of quality control during preparation and dispatch of food. This includes the documentation of the process in accordance with the safe food systeme.g. temperature charts.
- Ensure the good hygiene in regard to all aspects of the working of a Catering Department including the maintenance of a good standard of personal hygiene.
- Ensure the correct use and storage of equipment.
- Ensure the correct storage of all equipment and disposable items when issued.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
