Pharmacy Procurement Officer

Job overview

We are looking for an Administration Officer, Procurement Officer or Pharmacy Support Officer to join our fantastic Procurement team.

This is a fast paced exciting environment that is essential to patient care.

The successful applicant will possess an NVQ Level 2 in pharmacy (or equiavlent experience). You must have previous experience within administration in a healthcare setting, ideally within Pharmacy. Computer skills are essential.

 

Main duties of the job

To support the efficient and effective running of the pharmacy procurement service

  • Maintenance of computer systems and databases
  • Raising medicine orders
  • Processing of invoices 
  • Liaising with medicine and equipment suppliers regarding medicine and equipment orders

Person specification

Attainment

Essential criteria
  • GCSE's or equivalent in Maths, English and a Science
  • Willing to register the the chartered instituite of procurement and supply (CIPS) and work toward attaining an NVQ level 2 certificate in procurement and supply operations or currently hold
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent in pharmacy or pharmacy or administrative experience

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous work experience within administration in a healthcare setting
Desirable criteria
  • Previous work experience within Pharmacy

  • Good communication written skills
  • Ongoing commitment to personal developement
