Main duties of the job

You will be required to manage a team of nurses and healthcare assistants, closely monitoring the progression of their clinical skills and encouraging their professional development. On a day-to-day basis, you will be relied upon to assume direct responsibility for the smooth running of the unit and providing a high-quality service to patients, co-ordinating care and prioritising the team's workload.

The successful applicant must have excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills and be approachable and supportive to work effectively as part of the team.

We are looking to recruit someone who will role model high clinical and professional standards, who is enthusiastic, kind and able to provide safe and compassionate nursing care to acutely unwell patients.
