Job overview
We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and innovative Dietitian to join our Stroke, Rehabilitation and Early Supported Discharge team. This exciting post provides opportunity to develop the service as you will be the designated Dietitian for the inpatient Stroke Service. This position is being offered as 0.8 WTE equivalent.
Ideally we are looking for someone who has Stroke/ Neurology experience, is flexible, has good time management skills and works well in a team as well as independently. This post holder would be expected to mentor students by being a practice educator linked with the Universities.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant would be expected to work as part of the Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) to ensure nutritional screening tools and associated care plans are implemented, provide enteral feeding regimens as required and attend MDT meetings as appropriate.
The successful applicant would also be part of the wider Dietetic team and as well as working with the Stroke Team the applicant would be able to access support from their Dietetic colleagues within the Trust.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- BSc Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent
- HCPC Registered
Desirable criteria
- Clinical Supervisory Skills training
- Member of British Dietetic Association
- BDA post registration course
- Member of BDA Specialist Interest Group
- E.C.D.L
Experience/Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Relevant experience working in Nutrition & Dietetics
- Portfolio evidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development
- Experience of delegation and supervision
- Experience of working flexibly and effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience of having to prioritise caseload/manage own time effectively
- Experience of managing change and conflict situations
- Understanding of the legal responsibilities of the clinically autonomous practitioner
Desirable criteria
- Experience of service delivery in a variety of different settings including community, understanding of team dynamics
- Experience of service delivery in a variety of settings to include stroke/ neurological conditions
Skills
