We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic senior administrator to lead our Inpatients Admin Team supporting Sycamore and Cedar wards at Hillview Lodge Bath.  This post also supports the Medical Lead with e-rostering and junior doctor rotas. 

Working in collaboration with the Business Co-ordinator and Modern Matron you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Ward Admin.  Good Microsoft Office skills including Excel will be needed.  The role involves updating various AWP/NHS IT systems.  Duties will also include processing patient information, attending and minuting meetings, performance monitoring for the wards and preparation of documents for senior medics.

With strong administration and organisation skills you will need to be flexible and reactive to support the clinical teams, whilst managing your own workload.  Experience of managing or supervising staff would be a big advantage as would the ability to trouble shoot and problem solve. You will need to have empathy around mental health issues, some of which may call for a degree of resilience.    

The role holder will become part of our supportive and friendly B4 Admin network in BANES and AWP are able to offer training opportunities to support those wishing to develop their skills and career.   There is also the chance to gain staff supervision experience.

This will be a fulltime role (Monday to Friday 9-5) based at Hillview Lodge, Bath.

The role follows the standard B4 Clinical Services Lead Administration job description.

Some of the duties will include:

a)     Supervising the admin team and ensuring an efficient admin service to the wards is provided.

b)     Producing a wide range of documents on MS Office including Excel.  Updating databases and using various IT systems, such as purchase ordering and rostering.

c)      Arranging, attending and minuting meetings (MS Teams and face to face, formal and informal).

d)     Providing a senior level admin support to the Modern Matron and Ward Managers.

e)     Helping to facilitate the divisional Inpatient Admin forum.

f)       Having a good understanding of information governance, patient confidentiality and consent.

g)     Working to deadlines and being able to prioritise effectively.
