We currently have a vacancy for a highly motivated, pro-active, part-qualified AAT to work as an Assistant Management Accountant.

As a team we are continuously seeking to improve the quality of financial information provided to our many stakeholders and are looking for a candidate who can help improve our processes.  In particular we need people who can think beyond traditional roles and work with colleagues in other disciplines. 

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of the Financial Management team to provide financial advice and support to managers and clinicians within the west division, which covers a geographical region of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.  In addition, you will help to prepare month end accounts, forecasts and budget setting for the division.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

 The main requirements of this role are:

  • To assist in the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts and production of annual budgets .
  • To work with staff to explain variances between budgeted and actual expenditure and help them to take corrective action.
  • To maintain and enhance the customer-orientated approach of the Finance Team through the provision of timely and professional help and advice.
  • To investigate financial enquiries, providing assistance and advice as required.

  • AAT part-qualified

  • Demonstrates experience of preparing reports for budget holders
