Could this be you?  We are looking for an Audiologist with excellent organisational and communication skills to join our vibrant and friendly department, based in modern and well-equipped facilities in the beautiful city of Bath.

We provide a comprehensive range of routine and specialist clinics including:

  • Diagnostic hearing assessment
  • Hearing aid fittings and follow-ups
  • Paediatric hearing assessment and hearing fitting
  • Diagnostic support for ENT
  • Domiciliary appointments
  • Vestibular assessment and rehabilitation

We also provide community clinics at a number of sites across Wiltshire and Somerset.

You will be a key member within our team in helping to deliver high quality, patient-centred care and the role will be varied.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

You will be an invaluable member of our team and help support clinics providing hearing assessments, rehabilitation and hearing aid services at the RUH. You will also work at community sites, and carry out home visits. 

The position involves frontline patient contact and therefore highly-developed interpersonal skills are necessary.  The role is varied and has scope for development.  We invest in further training and will seek to facilitate opportunities for motivated individuals.

You will be expected to:

  • Carry out a range of routine clinical tasks within predefined limits and to departmental guidelines
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties within the department including electronic stock control
  • Recognise problems beyond your own area of knowledge and expertise and refer onwards or seek advice as required
  • Undertake follow-up clinics in accordance with department protocol referring onwards as necessary
  • Travel to community clinics and patients' homes
  • Demonstrate own duties to others
  • Assist in the overall, smooth running of day to day operational functions
  • Assist in ensuring the Patient Administration System is regularly updated, reflecting the current waiting list, patient status and medical management of those on the system
