Staffing Solutions (Bank) provide motivated, reliable staff to cover temporary vacancies, shortfalls or increased workload at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust (RUH).

We are creating an Enhanced Care and Support team at the RUH and looking for experienced Enhanced Care Practitioner / RMN to join the team as a  Bank Worker.

As a Bank Enhanced Care Practitioner / RMN, you will have experience with undertake assessments and provide direct care and support to people with a range of mental health problems including complex clinical presentations.

This may include:

·        people with mental health conditions.

·        people with eating disorders.

·        people living with dementia.

·        people with a learning disability.

·        autistic people in the acute hospital setting.

As a Bank worker, you can book shifts just a few hours in advance or up to six weeks ahead. While there is no guarantee of work, there can be plenty of opportunities with us. RUH is an acute hospital and our Bank staff are in-demand across most wards. We may have regular and occasional work to suit your needs so you can work around other commitments.

The shifts include:

Early shifts: 0700 -1300 or 0730-1330

Late shifts: 1400-2000

Long days: 0700-1930 or 0730-2000

Night shifts: 1900-0730 or 1930-0800

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse
  • NMC registrant
Desirable criteria
  • Post-registration qualification/post-graduate diploma and training preferably in Dementia/Delirium
  • QI methodology training

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of mental health conditions and their relationship to physical disorders to enable assessment /planning/ implementation and evaluation of care
  • In-depth knowledge of the Mental Health Act (1983/2007), Mental Capacity Act (2005) and the Mental Capacity (Amendment) Act (2019), Equality Act (2010), Human Rights Act (1998)
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in a dementia care setting, with people living with dementia
  • Experience of working with people with a learning disability and autistic people

Physical Skills & Effort Emotional Effort

Essential criteria
  • Ability to cope effectively under pressure and manage complex and challenging situations
  • Able to travel to other work places
