Job overview
Bank Porter – Band 2
The RUH bank, Staffing Solutions, supplies temporary staff to departments across the hospital in a variety of roles.
We are currently in need of General Porters. You will be offered work in different departments across the hospital on both short and long-term placements. These could be on a ward where patients are cared for or in an outpatient environment.
Main duties of the job
You will need customer care experience. Going into a new department, you will need to use own initiative (where appropriate) and be able to organise your workload. Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with all staff and patients is also very important.
As part of the Staffing Solutions team, you will benefit from:

- Pay is £22,383 per annum/pro rata
- Variety in your job, as you can work in different departments
- Flexible working, short or long term placements to fit around other commitments/school hours
