Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job:
This role will be pharmacy and ward based where you will be supporting patients to get the best possible outcomes from their medicines. This role will include working in conjunction with the nursing team to support and free up some of their duties by assisting with Medicines Administration, Stock Control and Discharge Planning.

Essential
Essential criteria
- GPhC recognised/approved level 2 qualification or ability to undertake within agreed time scale.
- Accredited Accuracy Checking Assistant or ability to undertake within agreed time scale.
- Previous Pharmacy or Healthcare experience in a community or hospital setting.
- Good general standard of education demonstrating numeracy and literacy.
Desirable
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of the electronic prescribing system.
- GCSE’s or equivalent including English and Maths.
- PWDS Accredited Medicines Optimisation Assistant or equivalent.
- Previous experience of carrying out audits.
- Previous experience of ward-based activities.
- Experience of communicating with patients.
