Job overview

Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow in Rheumatology at The Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, Royal United Hospitals Foundation Trust in Bath.  The position is for a WTE (full-time) Clinical Fellow.  The post will be for a duration of one year (fixed term) to commence 6th August 2025.  We welcome applications from interested, highly motivated individuals to join our specialist team. 

The RNHRD offers excellent clinical and research opportunities supported by a large, friendly and highly motivated inter-disciplinary team.  We would encourage all interested candidates to discuss the opportunities available.

 

Applicants must be fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practice.  Applicants must have completed a foundation training programme (or equivalent) and have at least 2 years’ experience working in general medical specialties.  Prior Rheumatology experience is preferable but not essential.

Education, Qualification and Training

Essential criteria
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Must have or be able to register and hold license to practice with the General Medicine Council (GMC) A, I
  • If, where the applicant is applying from, PLAB is necessary, applicants must have parts 1 and 2 or be exempt
Desirable criteria
  • MRCP or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience in General Medicine
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Demonstrates knowledge of evidence informed practice
  • Demonstrates an understanding of clinical governance
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience in Rheumatology
  • Experience in joint injection
