Job overview

Contracting and Performance plays a pivotal role in supporting different functions within BSW ICB such as Service Delivery, Commissioning and
Finance.
As Contract Support Officer the post holder will provide excellent administrative support to the Contracting and Performance Team, to ensure that
their work-stream of programmes are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery.
The role is an entry level role within the team and training would be provided. The post holder will have excellent written and verbal
communication skills. Previous NHS experience is preferable, although not essential.

Main duties of the job

  • Key responsibilities will include:
    • To provide and co-ordinate administrative and business partner services,
    • Supporting the team with the management of contracts and associated       projects,
    • Gathering information and undertaking enquiries, as and when necessary, for the Contracting and Performance team.
    • Taking responsibility for a small portfolio of smaller provider contracts including contract negotiation and management, monitoring activity, and managing contractual amendments.

The role would be ideal for a well organised individual with previous administrative experience, great attention to detail, excellent communication
and relationship management skills who is looking to develop a career within the NHS and enjoys working within a complex and changing
environment

Education

Essential criteria
  • Educated to NVQ 3 / GCSE level in a relevant subject, or equivalent level of qualification, or significant equivalent previous proven experience.

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Provide specialist secretarial/administration support and advice.
  • Significant administrative/ secretarial experience including initiating and maintaining office systems
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access.
  • Previous NHS Experience
