This is an incredible opportunity for you to learn and develop new skills within nutrition and healthcare working as part of an experienced and supportive dietetic team.

 

As a Dietetic Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dietetic team in delivering high quality nutritional care to our patients. You will work closely with registered dietitians and other healthcare professionals to assist in the assessment, planning, and monitoring of patient's nutritional needs. This is an exciting rotational role where you will gain knowledge and skills within medical, surgical and food policy pathways.

Main duties of the job

Much of your time will be spent on a ward working directly with patients, but you will also be involved with administration, data entry, display preparation and organising supplies of resources. 

It is essential that you have a good standard of education in English & Maths and competent computer/IT skills, as this role will be working in a fast-paced and busy environment where you will be working alongside dietitians, health care professionals and external services helping people/patients from various backgrounds, cultures in a variety of settings.

Education and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE, grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ level 3/QCF in food or health related subject
  • Basic food hygiene
