Children's Speech and Language Therapist - Epic Learning

Band 5

Trosolwg o'r swydd

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join the Doncaster Youth Justice and wider Children’s Speech and Language Therapy team within the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The role involves working within the EPIC Learning education provision for students (11-16), many with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who have found it difficult to engage with mainstream secondary education. These young people have either been excluded from their mainstream school or are at risk of exclusion.

The team are keen to find a motivated Newly Qualified therapist or someone who has completed their newly qualified competencies and wants to take on a new challenge.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in supporting young people with SEMH needs, developing relationships with the students in the provision, and supporting them to access learning alongside a multi-disciplinary team including teacher, support workers, assistant psychologist, and health and wellbeing worker.

This is a part time (22.5 hours) and term time post. The students attend the provision Monday to Thursday. There is a morning cohort and afternoon cohort. We are happy to be flexible around how these hours are worked so please contact us to have a conversation if you are interested in the post.
