This is an opportunity for you to join a thriving Division within Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which is continually improving and prides itself on providing excellent quality care for patients.

Main duties of the job

As a successful candidate you will be providing a comprehensive Line Management and Admin service to the Division of Medicine – working 18.75 hours per week at Doncaster Royal Infirmary with travel to Bassetlaw District General Hospital and Montagu Hospital.  This will include supporting all HR processes and electronic rostering for ward clerk staff across all medical wards at the hospitals.

This is a busy role where excellent organisational, communication and teamwork skills are essential. You will be used to working quickly and accurately under pressure.

Person specification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working with computer systems to include Microsoft Office and the use of IT packages and web based systems.
Desirable criteria
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Proven experience as a clerical officer working within the hospital environment

Qualifications/Training

Essential criteria
  • Vocational Level 3 or equivalent qualification/relevant training eg OCR/RSA/ Business administration apprenticeship or relevant experience
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology eg AMSPAR
  • ECDL or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of clinical databases
  • Customer Care training

  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and members of the public, both verbally and in writing
