Personal Assistant to Cancer Management Team

Job overview
As Personal Assistant to the Cancer Management Team at the Trust you will assist the Trust Cancer Lead Clinician, Head of Cancer, Lead Cancer Nurse and Lead Cancer Manager in the day to day running of the supporting delivery of Cancer Services across the Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for those wishing to take their PA role to the next level in a supportive and agile team environment with plenty of opportunity to learn and develop new skills.
Main duties of the job
You will provide day to day Personal Assistant support to the Cancer Management Team including diary management, handling phone calls and incoming messages and enquiries, helping coordinate meetings, taking meeting minutes and assisting in project administration, You will also work closely and offer some support to the Cancer Management Teams senior leadership team as and when required.

Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in a secretarial environment or similar administrative role in the NHS or a large organisation.
- Knowledge of issues of working with confidential information and understanding the need for confidentiality.
- Workload planning, including allocating work within a team to ensure an efficient, high quality, customer-focused service.
- Experience of handling sensitive situations efficiently and confidently.
- Committee administration, minute taking skills and action follow-up.
- Proactive diary management and forward planning of workloads.
Desirable criteria
- Experience in excel/spreadsheets
- Experience of taking minutes
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Evidence of good education, GCSE English and Mathematics A-C (or equivalent) or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of IT systems and software programs e.g.: Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
Desirable criteria
- Confidence in talking / presenting to groups.
