Job overview

The Endoscopy Notes Clerk team provide a comprehensive clerical support to the Endoscopy Unit's administrative team.

We collate and prepare notes for approximately 81 endoscopy lists per week across sites.

We also help with any additional administration support as and when required.

 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will ensure accurate data recording using the Patient Administration System (PAS) and other systems; 

All aspects of the work must be carried out in accordance with Trust policies and procedures in respect of maintaining patient confidentiality whilst upholding the Trusts WE CARE values.

To provide an efficient Endoscopy records service maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality at all times. 

To ensure the efficient storage, use and provision of medical records to support patient care.

To maintain excellent communication and customer service skills, be friendly and caring whilst maintaining a professional approach. 

Produce daily clinic lists using the patient administration system.

Verify and amend any incorrect patient details.

Extract required case notes from Medical records file and locate those currently outside of the department using the electronic tracking system.

Ensure all notes are prepared and that the relevant paperwork is available for the clinicians at the time of the patient procedures.

Track all notes to appropriate destinations.

Generally assist with all clerical duties within Endoscopy as and when requested by management.
