This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist/Highly Specialised Applied Psychologist to join our adult mental health services.  This post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to develop a range of skills both embedded in a multi-disciplinary team and as part of a wider group of Clinical Psychology and Psychological Therapies staff. If you are looking to build on your skills or wish to take your psychology career to the next level then this is the post for you. This post will be of particular interest to those wishing to develop, or enhance existing, skills around attachment, trauma, and complex emotional needs.   

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

Accountable for own professional practice in undertaking psychological assessment, formulation, and therapeutic interventions for clients with psychological, emotional or mental health conditions and/or trauma across (Doncaster) adult community mental health teams. 

Be responsible for assessing and managing risk including in a crisis or safeguarding situation 

To provide clinical supervision/reflective practice to junior or unqualified psychological professionals, as appropriate and where trained to do so.

To attend and contribute to MDTs, for instance to share formulations, offer advice, to offer training. 

To be compassionate in meeting the needs of clients, their carers and families.

(Where appropriate) to undertake formal research / service evaluations and to act as field supervisor for doctorate clinical psychology trainees. 

To be pro-active in continual service improvement.

To promote, at all times, a positive image of people with mental health difficulties, the psychology service and wider Trust

To act as an advocate ensuring there is proper regard for people’s dignity, choice, self-esteem and racial, cultural, sexual and religious needs and preferences.
