Job overview

·     This role will provide ongoing support to Clinical Services in the delivery of high-quality data by supporting clinical managers to achieve accurate data in patient records, by investigating any data errors and patterns and informing clinical teams of any issues that need acting upon.

Main duties of the job

This role will act as the initial liaison contact for operational staff, corporate staff and other external agencies and deal with correspondence and the effective dissemination of information. Taking responsibility for the design and maintenance of Excel spread sheets and databases to support monitoring of Clinical Services Data Quality.

The role will monitor and check data, required for the purpose of Data Quality by liaising with leads in corporate and operational services regarding data requirements and chasing outstanding information.

Essential criteria
  • 5 GCSEs including English or equivalent standard of education with the emphasis on numeracy and literacy and/or NVQ level 3 in relevant subject (or equivalent experience).
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and standard office software packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
  • Data management, Reporting and/or Clinical System experience.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in the NHS.
