Job overview

If you excel at motivating and caring for others  –   then we are able to offer exciting opportunities to join our team within adult mental health inpatient services here in Rotherham.

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and compassionate people, who have the skills and incentive to work alongside our patients on the mental health inpatient wards located on the Sandpiper and Osprey wards, Swallownest Court, Rotherham. 

We provide specialist assessment and treatment services for adults of all ages experiencing an acute phase of their illness, often while detained under the Mental Health Act.

You will complete assigned tasks involving direct patient care, in support of and under the supervision of a registered nurse, working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, undertaking activities and duties, which contribute to meeting the physical, psychological and personal needs of individual patients, ensuring that a high standard of care is achieved and maintained at all times.

Applicants must be able to evidence previous care experience, preferably within a mental health setting, be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the service, be able to communicate effectively and positively contribute to our strong team ethos. You will also need to have the physical fitness required to prevent and manage challenging behaviour.
