Specialist Pharmacist Cystic Fibrosis

Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust are in the exciting position to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated specialist pharmacist for cystic fibrosis.
We are seeking a confident pharmacist with drive and excellent communication skills who has substantial experience in direct delivery of clinical pharmacy services. The ideal candidate should have a broad range of clinical knowledge and the ambition to develop this role.
This post would be suitable for a clinically trained Band 7 with hospital experience looking to develop. Paediatric experience would be desirable but is not essential as training will be provided. Consideration will be given to candidates wishing to combine this post with our gastroenterology pharmacist post to support a portfolio career. The post holder must either be an independent prescriber or willing to undertake the necessary training to become one.

To lead, deliver, develop and evaluate a highly specialised clinical pharmacy service to the Cystic Fibrosis speciality in order to ensure safe, clinically effective and cost-efficient use of drugs.
To participate in the pharmaceutical services of the Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust. These services include clinical pharmacy, aseptic services and in-patient services.
You will be expected to take part in the weekend and bank holiday service and the out of hour emergency duty service.

- Registered with GPhC
- Postgraduate diploma qualification in clinical pharmacy (or relevant experience)

- NMP qualification
- Membership of the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacist Group Independent Prescribing qualification
Experience
