Job purpose:
This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and established team working with individuals experiencing acute mental health problems.
Endcliffe Ward is a purpose built psychiatric intensive care unit which has 10 beds. This is a locked unit providing 24 hour care for people in a mental health crisis who require a safe, controlled environment with high intensity nursing care. Endcliffe Ward is a low stimulus environment with high levels of observation and high intensity care planning.
You will be a positive, well organised and motivated individual and will provide dedicated administration support to a wide multi-disciplinary team.

Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and established team working with individuals experiencing acute mental health problems. This is a locked unit providing twenty-four-hour care for people in a mental health crisis who require a safe, controlled environment with high intensity nursing care. Endcliffe Ward is a low stimulus environment with high levels of observation and high intensity care planning.
You will be a positive, well organised and motivated individual and will provide dedicated administration support to a wide multi-disciplinary team. The role of Clinical Administrator will be responsible for the provision of a high quality and dedicated administration service. A key requirement of the job is to support the clinical team in the functioning of the ward, providing help with staffing, ordering, auditing systems, minute taking, servicing of equipment and answering the phone etc.
You must be able to organise your own workload, prioritise your work effectively and have the ability to work on your own initiative, as well as an awareness of issues in relation to confidentiality. It is essential that you have excellent communication, organisational skills and be able to converse with a wide range of professionals. You should be flexible, adaptable and willing to work as part of a team in order to meet the changing needs of the service.

undertake other duties which fall within the Banding of the post. The job
description will be reviewed regularly in the light of changing service
requirements and any such changes will be discussed with the post
holder.
The post holder should be comfortable in the use of computer technology,
have basic keyboard skills and have the ability to use email.

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
