The Sheffield Gender Identity Clinic (GIC) is one of seven specialist services (in addition to further pilot Trans health-services) supporting people who are troubled by their experience of gender identity and its expression, often conflicting with expected social norms of their assigned gender. The service is based at Michael Carlisle Centre in Sheffield. The service is nationally commissioned by NHS England. The service receives referrals from the geographical area covered by NHS England.

The post holder will be required to provide coordination and support to the multi-disciplinary team in their management of patient pathway(s), ensuring that all necessary information and resources are available in a timely manner, and that administrative information flows without repetition or delay. To capture and manage patient information on the relevant computer systems to enable high quality and timely reporting. To monitor the flow of patients on assessment and/or treatment pathway(s), and escalate potential problems at the earliest opportunity and to act as an interface between patients/carers/professionals and lead clinicians.

The post holder will work flexibly in collaboration with others to undertake a number of duties. Below are some examples:
