Stroke Data Admin Support Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stroke Data Admin Support Officer with in Integrated Geriatric & Stroke Medicine. The Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme (SSNAP) is a major healthcare quality improvement programme. SSNAP measures the quality and organisation of stroke care in the NHS and is the single source of data in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

To be responsible for collating and inputting data onto the SSNAP web tool. To collate and process other data required for monitoring the performance of the Stroke pathway. In conjunction with the Stroke Data Co-Ordinator, be responsible for abstracting and analysing patient clinical information and producing reports for Senior Managers, MDT Leads and Clinical Director. The post holder will prioritise work according to changing demands and trust targets.
This vacancy requires working between all sites across Sheffield Teaching Hospital including community sites.

Qualifications

- Level 3 qualification and/or evidenced vocational experience, knowledge and training. (AS level, A Level, Advanced Apprenticeships, NVQ level 3, Relevant/Evidenced Vocational Experience).
- GCSE level grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent qualification/experience)
- NVQ level 2 in IT or equivalent experience
Experience

- Clerical background with experience in data collection, data entry and validation
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Applications
- Familiarity with medical records. Experience in a health care environment.

- Knowledge of basic medical terminology.

- Ability to extract complex data from a variety of sources including paper and computerised medical records.
