Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatology (OGN) Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our administrative team to actively support the Directorate in the efficient and effective management of MDTs.
The successful candidate will have a methodical approach to work, be extremely well organised and have a flexible attitude incorporating the Trust PROUD values. With a clear understanding of patient confidentiality as well as a background in an administrative setting this post would ideally suit an individual wanting to further their experience in administration. Previous experience would be advantageous.
Effective computer skills are essential and experience of using a hospital computer system would also be desirable.
Main duties of the job
- To co-ordinate the effective delivery of MDT services within the Gynaecology directorate. To provide efficient, high quality and comprehensive support to the MDT.
- To monitor and mange the care pathways of patients being treated under the MDT.
- To manage the collection of data in relation to the operation of the MDT Service.
- To work closely with the Gynaecology MDT (Consultants, Nurses and Administrators), the wider trust and relevant national and regional networks to ensure the effective delivery and improvement of the service.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent to include English Language at grade C or above
- Diploma-level qualification or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable short courses or equivalent experience in report writing, data collation and analysis of results.
Desirable criteria
- Proof of continuous self-development
- Evidence of completion of short courses in Microsoft Office suite.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant and relevant experience working within an administrative and clerical role
- Experience of planning complex processes
- Experience with databases & data handling
- A demonstrable understanding of the importance of data quality and the impact of poor quality on operational systems
- Experience of meeting objectives and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of MDT Co-ordination
- Experience of working in a gynaecology speciality
- Experience of using Trust information systems (e.g., Lorenzo / Infoflex/ PACS / ICE)
- Experience of working in a monitoring / compliance role
- Experience of working in a monitoring / compliance role
- Knowledge and experience of working with NHS England 18- week RTT Pathways & Targets.
- Typing and circulating minutes.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Further training
Essential criteria
- Advanced level working knowledge of all Microsoft packages (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Flexible approach to working practices and willingness to undertake training as required to deliver the duties of the post
