Trosolwg o'r swydd

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and flexible Physiotherapist to join the yearly musculoskeletal inpatient rotation between the Trauma Orthopaedic and Amputees Teams at the Northern General Hospital.

The Amputee rotation consists of an in and outpatient caseload with occasional domiciliary visits.  The Trust is a regional amputee and Murrison centre specialising in assessing and treating limb loss through pre op, in-patient and outpatient pathways.  The post offers exciting opportunities to be involved in pioneering work. Previous development projects have included the introduction or MPK prosthetics and preadmission therapy.

On the trauma and orthopaedic rotation, the successful candidate will work with an experienced team gaining experience and skills to treat a wide range of patients with conditions such as Ilizarov & limb reconstruction frames, acute spinal injuries, poly traumas, fracture neck of femurs and many more. Sheffield Teaching Hospitals is a regional Major Trauma centre and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn from the wider multidisciplinary team.

The post holder will be involved in service improvement projects and will work under the direct supervision and support of a clinical specialist physiotherapist in each area.
