Trosolwg o'r swydd

We are looking for a Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) who is passionate about community-based care for adults with swallowing and communication disorders. The successful applicant will join the wonderfully supportive Sheffield Adult Community Team (ACT).

Building on from an extremely successful project, we have been granted funding for an additional full time Band 6 SLT. This position is temporarily funded through the Ageing Well Programme. While we hope to secure further funding to make this a permanent role in the community team, we cannot confirm this at this stage. However, we are looking to appoint on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will initially be based in the community for the 2 years for which we currently have funding. If the funding is not secured to continue the position after 2 years within the community, we will ensure the successful candidate's redeployment to another suitable role within the adult speech and language therapy team, where their knowledge and skills can be utilised.

You will join a highly experienced and supportive team to provide care for service users, working alongside colleagues in the acute trust and specialists from other disciplines, social care, and the voluntary sector.

We are committed to personal, professional, and service development. We have regular supervision and appraisals and encourage self-directed learning, as well as service wide training with internationally regarded specialists.
