Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cardiac Rehabilitation Service Pathway Coordinator to join the Cardiology Department at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This post will be based at the Bassetlaw Hospital and is 15 hours per week. Working days will be Monday and Friday. 

 

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate data entry to the national database and reporting, ensuring that we are up to date and meeting the reporting target. Additional responsibilities include preparing for external peer reviews and providing general administrative support to the cardiac rehabilitation team to include secretarial and clerical duties as required.

You must be flexible, have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure in an extremely busy department. Previous experience is preferable and an NHS background essential for this role.

Essential criteria
  • GCSE English Language and Mathematics Or equivalent qualification or experience
  • CLAIT / ECDL, NVQ 3 (including access data base) in information technology – Diploma leave Or equivalent qualification or experience
Desirable criteria
  • Degree level or equivalent in information technology

Interpersonal Skills

Essential criteria
  • Able to communicate effectively using excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to liaise at a moderately complex level
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times in respect of the Data Protection Act (1998)
Desirable criteria
  • Demonstrate clear commitment to the team approach, exchanging ideas and providing support to colleagues

Organisational Skills

  • Highly developed organisational skills
  • Able to develop and maintain efficient office systems according to the requirements of the division

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of the patient administration system (PAS)
  • At least 1 years’ experience using word processing, spreadsheets and database packages Producing written reports and summarising data

  • Worked within a hospital setting
  • Experience of Microsoft Office Applications - Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
