An excellent opportunity for x2 Sister / Charge Nurse' who are committed to high quality care for children, young people and their families.

The Children’s Assessment Unit presently offers care from 8am-9pm, but we are very excited to be opening a new Unit which will offers both an assessment area and short stay to children and young people presenting with a variety of medical conditions, along with caring for some surgical and orthopaedic patients. The ward has 6 overnight beds and 8 assessment spaces

You will be based within Children & Families Division where our main services are at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw Hospitals. The Division is progressive and innovative, continually striving to improve services for children, young people and their families. Working as part of a team of Nurses, Play Leaders, Healthcare Assistants, Housekeepers and alongside the medical team, you will be responsible for providing the highest standard of evidenced based patient care.

Hours available for this position are: 1 x 30hrs per week and 1 x 35hrs per week

It is essential that you are registered as RSCN / RNC with proven experience as a Staff Nurse along with professional post-registration development. It is also essential that you have evidence of ward management under supervision.

To coordinate the activities of the ward to ensure the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised holistic patient care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.
